8 pork steaks
1 small onion
1 green, red, yellow, and orange bell pepper, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 beef bouillon cubes
cajun seasoning (http://cookinwithchris.com/?p=14)
Season both sides of steaks and put two at a time into a hot dutch oven.
Brown on each side for 1-1 1/2 minutes on med-high heat then put on a plate to the side.
Repeat for all the steaks (Don’t worry if the seasonings look burned and start to smoke, thats the yum yum flavors)
Cook down all the vegetables and garlic for about 5 minutes.
Add a cup of water and the bouillon cubes till dissolved.
Removed pot from heat and puree the veggies in a blender.
Put the puree back in the pot and add the steaks(puree is like a marinade now)
Add enough water to cover to the top of the steaks and stir to mix everything together.
Bring to a boil then turn down to low heat(just above a simmer)
Cover and cook down for 1-1 1/2 hrs till tender.
Serve gravy over rice or mashed potatoes.
